U.S. Cellular Offers 5 GB Data And Voice Package For $70

U.S. Cellular today announced a new monthly plan aimed at smartphone users. The Primary Plus plan offers 5GB of data, unlimited text messaging and 450 minutes of voice. Calls to other mobile phones are free, as are nights and weekends. The Primary Plus plan costs $70 per month. The plan also lets new users upgrade their phones after 15 months. The plan is part of U.S. Cellular's Belief Project, so buyers can also accumulate points to trade for earlier upgrades and other benefits.

T-Mobile today announced plans to offer three new programs offering 5G service for free to certain groups, or cheaply for everyone else. The company is promising to launch the programs when and if it is allowed to merge with Sprint.

Palm, a California company that purchased the rights to the Palm brand from TCL, today launched a new device it calls an ultra-mobile product that "syncs with your smartphone to keep you connected but not consumed." AT&T is introducing new unlimited plans that drop the live and on-demand TV package included with the existing Unlimited &More plans. Accounting for that and other minor changes, pricing stays about the same, with unlimited plan choices (and price points) increasing from two to three.
Just a clarification
But the plan does still include the free incoming calls from any landline or cellular carrier, which is a huge plus.
