T-Mobile Distributing Froyo to Original myTouch 3G

T-Mobile on Tuesday said that it began pushing an over-the-air update to owners of the original HTC myTouch 3G on October 13. The update will install Android 2.2 Froyo on the myTouch 3G, which includes a number of improved and new features system wide. The update is being rolled out in waves and will continue to be rolled out until all users have updated. T-Mobile expects the process to take until October 31. Further, T-Mobile said that the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition, and the T-Mobile myTouch Slide will be updated at a later, unspecified date.

So do you think manufacture's leaving their phones behind or is it the carrier? Cause obviously as you stated the hero and moment should be able to get froyo too...

Of course the mytouch is a peice of garbage, if you've ever put froyo on it, its sooo freakin slow. Unresponsive, and just plain garbage.
