Motorola Releases New 2.5G Platform

Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector today announced the i.250-21 platform for GSM/GPRS handsets. Building on the company's existing i.250 offering, the new platform adds quad-band GSM, EDGE combined with class 12 GPRS, accelerated Java 2, and better support for advanced displays and CMOS camera modules. As a member of Motorola's Innovative Convergence family of solutions, the platform consists of hardware, software, and services that enable phone manufacturers to bring new wireless devices to market quickly, using a proven platform.
