With regards to atk

Am I correct in reading that atk is bad for android....specifically froyo? Should I uninstall before upgrading to froyo or is it too late...i never did use it much on my x..
Unless you want to make an already unstable OS even more unstable, get rid of it.
ATK is bad for android, Google made it so it CANNOT harm your device in Froyo. They disabled the API's the those programs used to kill apps so they're actually less harmful in Froyo because they won't work. So installing froyo with a task killer won...

Meh

Yeah have fun with it. 🙄 Froyo 2.2 pretty much crapped my Moto Droid. Matter of fact, it made it suck so much I deactivated mine. I use a regular flip phone now. When I get enough money I'm switching and getting an iPhone.

Be ready for:

-More force closings
-Sluggish speed
-YouTube glitches
-Data not connecting
-Pinch zoom loosing quality
-Battery drains faster
-Home screen having to load after exiting an app
-Flash 10.1 which means more load time for websites due to Flash advertisements.

For those who's seen my past posts will know I was Android "fanboy" but this is the experience I've had with mine and I couldn't take it anymore. I'm back to using a dumbphone and using my iPod Touch for all my smartphone needs. ...

Nowhere near a computer, I can hard reset my EVO and within a matter of 10 minutes have my contacts back, whatever applications I work with (yes, some are bad, those that I have found to be "good" are worth the dollar or two, and those are saved under...

Froyo 2.2 for Droid X

I just purchased a Droid X and did the update to Froyo Android 2.2 succesfully. The Flash Player works now.
So far, so good.

List of Improvements

So I can't find a Qrg anywhere. The only way I knew about the upgrade was from Phonescoop and other sites I won't mention. So far here is what I've noticed:

-Ability to move Apps to SD card

-Browser seems quicker

-Different Battery Profiles

-Ability to turn screen 270 degrees

-I'm not sure if Flash 10.1 was part of the update or if I need to d/l it from marketplace (hopefully someone knows)

-gmail enhancements

-google search bar is slightly different

-lock/silence has a different look and is now lock/vibrate from the looks of it

-smoother window switching when swiping

-added VZ Navigator and Quickoffice

-I'm sure the standard security enhancement were made as well.. I haven't checked and don't really care
