Motorola Announces Color TDMA Clamshell

Motorola today announced the V60t Color, the company's first color-display, clamshell-style phone for TDMA networks. Based on the popular V60 design, the V60t Color also upgrades to a 2-line external display and 4-way navigation keys. New features include voice digit dialing and new color games. The CSTN color display has a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels. The phone keeps all of the major features of its predecessor, including voice dialing and changeable metal housings. The v60t Color will be available later this month.

Planet Computers is at CES this week showing off an early prototype of its Cosmo Communicator, which is an upgraded version of its Gemini. The Cosmo and Gemini share the same basic design that looks like a micro-size laptop.

A new feature called Google Instant Play lets people tap and try games directly in the Google Play Store and Google Play Games app without first downloading the game.

Facebook today said the Instant Games it announced last month are now available to Facebook Messenger users around the world. Instant Games on Facebook Messenger rely on AI-assisted bots that can play turn-by-turn games with single players, as well as help challenge others to games via Messenger.

Google today launched Play Pass, a new $5/month subscription service for Android users that provides full access to over 350 games and apps, ad-free and without in-app purchases. Google is offering a ten-day free trial as well as special intro pricing of just $2/month for the first 12 months.
