According to the Wall Street Journal, T-Mobile USA is in talks with Huawei about the Chinese company's new IDEOS Android smartphone. A source cited by the Journal said that a deal isn't in place yet, but one could be forged within four to six weeks. Huawei developed the Tap touch phone, which was branded and sold by T-Mobile. Huawei has yet to strike a major win with U.S. network operators, and the company confirmed that it is talking to the carriers about distribution deals. The Journal believes the device will be available before the holidays for about $100 on contract. The IDEOS runs Android 2.2, has a 2.8-inch touch screen, camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

Why Tmobile Why?????

huawei really suck

All my friend sometime buy a Tmobile Tap and is the worst Eq I've ever see. Display and freezing problems, touch sensitive is too bad.
Appearently their reputation isn't burned with Tmo.
I'm guessing English isn't your primary language...

Doesn't make any sense

i Just read "Huawei has launched preached "Huawei Ideos" which was in complete Android platform 2.2, with a very affordable price, U.S. $ 175" Why would Tmobile only give a $75 subsidy on a 2 year contract for this phone?
... and why would anybody pay $99 for this phone that's so inferior to a $199 Vibrant? (that you could get for $.01 recently on amazon btw)

You're gonna pay $79/month for either phone.. you're saving $4 or so a month over your 24 month contract..
