RadioShack Expanding to Target Stores with Kiosks
RadioShack has announced plans to expand its mobile phone retail footprint by installing kiosks inside Target stores. The kiosks will be branded "Bullseye Mobile" and won't be identified with RadioShack. The kiosks will be installed in most of Target's 1,700 stores nationwide. RadioShack tested the kiosks at 100 Target stores earlier this year. RadioShack said the move is meant to help it remain competitive as Best Buy expands its own mobile retail footprint with more Best Buy Mobile stores and its dedicated store-within-a-store approach at its larger big box stores.

Yep - Grapevine is a tester
I am a manager at one of the test sites in Grapevine, TX. This is a great thing because with our training and experience we are seeing not only an increase over when Target sold contract phones themselves, but and increase in the overall satisfaction in the electronics department as a whole.
For those who don't know how Radio Shack remains competitive it is services like their Kiosk devisions (Sprint mall kiosks, Sam's Club Kiosks, K-Mart Kiosks) where they are essentially renting out their employees to staff these other entities stores that is probably the next phase of the Radio Shack story, and definitely is the fastest growing segment of the company.

old dreadful news
The Shack needs to fix their own stores and SCK in Wal-mart before they move on to tarnish Tarjia's reputation.
However, as many employees of Retail Services know, the contract between Wal-Mart and RadioShack allows WM to purchase up to I believe 15% of the SCKs every year. Many people have expressed concern that because of that buying allowance, we would eventually go out of business. Well, RS is not dumb, I can assure you of that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the strategy behind SCKs was to ...
