Most Android users can now download the Swype software keyboard, as the company has expanded its initial beta testing phase. The new beta will only work for 3 months, with no word as to whether Swype will then begin selling the software or giving away free updates. The Swype keyboard works on phones with HVGA (480 by 320), WVGA (800 by 480) and (854 by 480) resolution screens, but that includes almost every Android phone currently available, except that phones must support apps installed from third parties, which excludes AT&T's current Android lineup. Interested users can go to beta.swype.com to sign up for the trial software.
