AT&T: Palm Pre Plus Launches May 16 for $150

Today AT&T shared the initial pricing and availability details for its version of the Palm Pre Plus. The device will be available starting May 16 for $150 after rebates. It will come with a free Touchstone charger for a limited time.

Big Red can't even give it away for $49! AT&T thinks people will choose a Palm Pre Plus for $149 after annoying mail-in rebates which take forever to process over an iPhone 3GS refurb at $149 instantly?? You gotta be efin kidding me. Hell, I'm no fan of Apple's but I'd choose an iPhone 3G refurb for $49 over a stupid Palm Pixi any day! It's a no brainer

ATT has the Iphone, true, but there are people on that network who are tired of everything being iPhone and this is a very viable alternative.

How locked down?

I wonder how locked down this will be compared to the verizon pre plus. I am suspecting no wifi hotspot capability.
The Pre is not locked down at all once you put the phone is "Dev mode". The VZW Pre is only locked down at the a-GSP level from my understanding and there has been a "patch" created by the WebOS Internals team that fixes that.
