Most Samsung Smartphones to Run Either Android or Bada

Samsung recently indicated that more than half of the smartphones it sells this year will run Android. It also said that one-third will run its home-grown Bada operating system. "Customer response for Bada-based smartphones is very strong," a Samsung executive said. Motorola's entire smartphone line-up consists of Android handsets.

affliated with Android?

Is this OS associated with the google/android at all or just something completely new? I've never heard of it before.
Bada is Samsung's proprietary operation system. Android is Google's operation system.
