Cricket Finds Its Way with New Navigator App

Today Cricket Wireless introduced Cricket Navigation, a new service offering for its customers. Cricket Navigation provides voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation as well as details on nearby gas stations, traffic, local points of interest, and local business search. The application is available for the Samsung MyShot II through the Games and Apps catalog. Cricket says the app will become available to other handsets over the coming weeks. It will be included free for plans at the $50 and $60 level, and can be added at extra cost to the $30 and $40 plans.

Google has announced an update to the Google Maps app with several interesting new features. The augmented-reality Live View feature now works in a search mode to find and show you specific places nearby, instead of just overlaying walking directions during ongoing navigation.

And the people who actually purchase Cricket phones and service, do they travel?
