Google recently announced some new changes for its web-based version of Gmail for the Android and iPhone platforms. The changes come to the web app's email composing screen. It is now easier to add, remove, and sort through email recipients with a new scrolling capability. Other new features include quick removal of the contact you just added by tapping Backspace. Users can press the '+' button to see their most-contacted friends or hide them by pressing the '–' button. Users will also be able to add just the username of a Gmail user, and the Gmail software will automatically at the '@gmail.com' o the address. Google has also expanded the email composing screen, letting users see more of the message that they are writing. The changes also affect the iPad and iPod Touch.
