Software maker doubleTwist recently made a new version of its smartphone syncing software available that provides a much improved way to browse through the Android Market from the desktop. The software lets users search for applications and see more information about each application such as description, screen shots, and reviews. Users can scan a bar code on the screen with their device to receive a link to the application to download, but apps cannot be downloaded directly from the Android Market via doubleTwist. DoubleTwist also lets users sync media such as music, videos. DoubleTwist plans to add over-the-air syncing later this year. The new software is available for Macs starting today, with a Windows version planned for release soon.
