RIM Intros Beta Zone for App Testing

Today Research In Motion a new program that will allow BlackBerry users to test and try out beta applications. Users can register to become a member of the Beta Zone, where they will have access to new software that is still under development. Users will be required to share feedback to help prepare and optimize the applications before release to the general public. The Beta Zone is open to users in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. It is free to join.

T-Mobile has released a new app that lets iPhone users with other US carriers test out T-Mobile's network for free using their existing phone before switching. While T-Mobile has offered a free 30-day test drive using a mobile hotspot — and that program remains available for Android users — the new app leverages the eSIM capability in newer iPhones.
