Today Opera Software announced new full 1.0 versions of Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10. Opera Mini 5 is available as a 1.0 release for Java-based devices, such as BlackBerries (it remains in beta for Android and WinMo). Opera Mobile 10 is available for the S60 and Windows Mobile platforms. No new features were added to these full releases when compared to the beta versions, but they should be more stable. The browsers are all available for free download starting today.

FYI, if you need/want the signed version...

Going to mini.opera.com may currently default to the unsigned version (might vary by device, not sure). When 4.2 was current, downloading the signed version was obvious.

To get the signed version of 5.0, click on the link below the download link which says "Other download options".

Then on the next page, scroll all the way past all of the old versions, and select:
"Options for Opera Mini 5: Select Code-Signing Certificate".

Then on the next page make your choice ("All" first, unless this is your 2nd time around and that didn't work). It will send you back to what looks like the original download page, but Opera will feed you the signed version.

Opera Mobile 10

Opera Mini 5 not-java version is nice and all, bt I noticed better performance on the bigger and badder Opera Mobile 10, probably because including OpenGL rendering really speeds up the draw speeds. Opera Mini 5 not-java should have OGL ES as well.
