Swype Coming to More Phones, More Platforms

With today's launch of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G 3.5mm device, T-Mobile and Swype announced a partnership whereby T-Mobile will be loading Swype across a number of its touch-based devices. The first device is the mytouch 3G, and Swype confirmed that the HTC HD2 will also have Swype at launch. Swype can run on both the Android and Windows Mobile platforms, and Swype indicated that it will become available on more platforms, devices and network operators over the coming year.

google it, try "xda dream swype" its probably already available.
Isn't it nearly time for you G1 owners to upgrade?

If I understand this correctly, it is essentially old-school, finger-based "Graffiti" like Palm devices used 8 years ago?
not really. There is a keyboard that you basically swipe your finger from letter to letter that you want to use, and then the software sees what words could be made and writes it. If there are multiple words, it gives you up to 6 options.
