U.S. Cellular Intros New Unlimited Calling Plans
Today U.S. Cellular announced its own unlimited national calling plans. The Unlimited National Individual Plan will cost $70 per month and the Unlimited National Family Plan will cost $120 (additional lines cost $50). Each provides unlimited voice minutes across the U.S. with no long distance charges. The plans, which are available starting today, do not include texting or data.

Verizon has tweaked its unlimited plans to include more value at the same prices. The Just Kids plan now includes unlimited 4G data instead of a set 5GB.

T-Mobile today introduced a new premium service plan called "Magenta Max", that offers truly unlimited "premium" (full-speed 5G or 4G) data. Before today, T-Mobile's top-end "Magenta Plus" plan offered up to 50 GB of full-speed data, after which speeds could be restricted.

AT&T plans to cease offering AT&T Smart Limits, a service that allows parents to control their kids' phones, on November 26. Smart Limits will no longer be available after that date.

AT&T is introducing new unlimited plans that drop the live and on-demand TV package included with the existing Unlimited &More plans. Accounting for that and other minor changes, pricing stays about the same, with unlimited plan choices (and price points) increasing from two to three.
