HTC today announced the HD2, one of five smartphones from the company available this month with Micosoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone platform. The HD2 is the first Windows Mobile device to ship with HTC's Sense interface, previously available only on on the Android-based Hero. On the hardware side, the HD2 sports a large capacitive touch-screen with WVGA (480x800) resolution and 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, all in a body only 11mm thick. The HD2 will be available later this month in Europe, and in other regions later on. Other HTC smartphones available this month with Windows Mobile 6.5 include the Imagio for Verizon, Tilt2 and Pure for AT&T, and the Touch2 for Europe.
