Today Samsung revealed that it is going to expand its mobile application storefront beyond a beta test and it plans a full launch in European markets later this quarter. The limited beta store is currently available in the U.K. Samsung said that the store will allow users of Windows Mobile and Symbian-based Samsung handsets to access and download mobile applications and other content. It is not clear how billing is to be handled, nor what sort of partnerships Samsung is forging with European network operators. Developers will be able to submit applications through a web-based portal that has yet to launch. Samsung has not announced any plans to bring an apps store to the U.S.
