More info on tp2

I like the TP2 so far, but when it comes to comparing it side by side, its a hard decision to make. The G1 and the TP2, as you already know, run on totally different operating systems. The Android software, to me, has a plethora to offer and about 95% of the applications do not cost anything. On the Handango link that is on the TP2's programs list is just like the Android Market, but you have to pay for each application that you want. Now, just like every other WinMobile OS you can download a bunch of ROMs and applications and put them on there via PC.

Another little future tidbit for you is about the WinMobile application store, that will be up and running soon, is just like the Android Market for people to DL stuff. Whether or not it wi...

Thanks for the mini-review! It's no surprise your G1 is "more fun" since it -- like the iPhone -- is a leisure-oriented device, not business like the TP2. The two items that jump out from your post though are signal sensitivity and the keyboard. Are y...

T-mobile

T-mobile is finally mobile and is moving forward. Good look for them 😉
Yes indeed but still far behind Sprint in my opinion. Touch Pro 2 is a very formidable device we shall soon see how good this bad boy is. If Sprint gets this I will also have one.

Having that phone on tmobiles laughable 3g network is like having a Lambo with a kia rio engine. But congrats to t-mobile for getting it first but its coming out for all the other 3 major companies by the end of the year.....

TP2 use for 2 weeks now

Hello all, I have been using this phone for about 2 weeks now. The phone is launching on the 12th of August. I'm not sure on the pricing yet. I have heard around the $250-$200 mark with a yr contract, $500 without. I can say that the new TouchFlo 3D menu is very nice to use. The internal memory is much larger than my G1 and runs a little faster out of the box but not by much, that actually have the same 528mhz processors, same as the Dash. No UMA but wifi is nice and fast on it. I also have a G1 that I love. I cannot make a confirmed judgement on which one i believe is better. 🙂 One thing i really love is, is the tilting screen, awesome, and it comes with a stylus if you don't want to use your fingers.

any differences

are there any major differences between a t-mobile branded touch pro2 compared to an unlocked one?

other than the obvious t-mobile stuff.

thanks!
yes, a few differences that i am aware of are

-no front facing camera
-only can have up to 2 other people in your conference call, instead of the 10 that the unlocked version is capable of(but can't do regardless because of networks in the usa can...
