Palm Pre, BlackBerry Storm 2 Headed to Verizon Wireless
May 28, 2009, 12:30 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Verizon's Lowell McAdam recently said that it, too, expects to sell the Palm Pre. Specifically, McAdam said, "Over the next six months or so you will see devices like Palm Pre and a second generation Storm." McAdam didn't provide more specific details regarding the launch of either device, but this comes on the news that AT&T will also be selling a version of the Pre when Sprint's exclusivity runs out. Since Verizon expects to have the Pre within six months, that means Sprint's exclusive deal to sell the Pre can't be longer than that. McAdam's comments about a second-generation BlackBerry Storm confirm recent reports on the Internet that have exposed the device.

Official comment from Palm
"On to the Q&A: When will there be a GSM version. Palm expects to have one at some point in the future. What about the Verizon deal, asks Walt, noting this morning’s Verizon story this morning. Rubinstein says he can’t comment. We do love Sprint and they are our exclusive launch partner,†Rubinstein said. “It sounds like AT&T and Verizon both want it.. I can’t comment on unannounced relationships.†He notes that BellMo will distribute the Pre in Canada."
