At the Google I/O Conference, several features of the next generation of Android software were shown off before attendees. One such feature is a universal search function that will simultaneously the web and the host device (contacts, calendar, etc.) at the same time. It also includes a new text-to-speech API, which will allow developers to tap into Google Voice for additional features.
