Nokia today announced the 1006, a basic bar-style CDMA phone. The tri-band phone supports AWS networks, ideal for carriers such as MetroPCS. Its key features include a 128 x 160 pixel TFT display, Bluetooth, downloadable games, standard 2.5mm headset jack, and standard microUSB connector. The 1006 is expected to be available this month or next.

Nokia needs to really hit the cdma american market, as much as i love Nokia. They have dropped the ball in this department. i really hope they pick up the pace this year.

Absolutely correct. Unfortunately Verizon Wireless leading that market needs better plans as well. 😕
