AT&T Resurrects At-Home Activation for iPhone

AT&T is once again allowing customers to buy the iPhone online and activate it at home rather than in a store. At-home activations are processed via Apple's iTunes software.

Most likely it is because...

Wal-Mart is going to start selling iPhones and it's probably less of a headache to do at-home activations.
WalMart, Radio Shack and I assume AT&T Authorized Resellers. The latter have been itching to sell it for sometime.

WHOO HOO!

This means: iPhones on GoPhone! Which means: no contracts! Which means, I could - potentially, finally - use an iPhone with my AT&T ERP plan!

Unless there's some handy-dandy loophole that would prevent this, which is pretty much inevitable with AT&T.
im pretty sure when u activate it...u will still have to pick a rate plan or the data add on... 😎

You can only use the iPhone 2g on PYP and you HAVE TO HAVE the data package for $20

the iPhone 3g has to be used for 2 year contract service- it performs the credit check when you order the iPhone online and if you have deposit at&t will make you ...
