Well I guess Sprint was following Tmobile's lead since they were the first to offer a similiar service. Also, tmobile service is better than what sprint and verizon will b...

I Remember...

I Remember when the Airave was first announced by Sprint, and all the Verizon fanboys were screaming about how "you wouldn't need a device like that if you had a superior network with better signal".
😳 😳 Where are those fanboys now? 😁 😁

Probably looking forward to having better signal in their house, just like the Sprint peeps...
🤣
Verizon fanbois are doped up about they're carrier, and aren't in touch with reality, and they're brainwashed by those "network" advertisements!!!!

AT&T has worked just fine for me for 7yrs now. From now on I'm calling Verizon fanboys Verizon crack...

I'm torn - Like the coverage increase, but like TMobile's better

I'm torn -

On the one hand, I'd really like to see this kind of thing because it seems like no matter where I move to I have borderline Verizon coverage. This would be great for that.

On the other hand, conceptually I liked TMobile's version, where you can use any wireless internet connection, better. It's nice to be able to go over to a friends house where coverage is limited and have my phone work 100% there, to.
Yeah, t-mobile's version is pretty sweet. Do you have to put in the info for the router to use the wi-fi or it just automatically picks it up? How many t-mobile phones can actually use this feature?

Enough bash talk... this is a good thing...

I liked the idea of Cellular expansion via VoIP. It's a good thing Verizon is bringing it in. After all, there are some areas that no cellular service covers well.

This is where having the VoIP/Cellular router helps out, for any carrier. You can't have perfect coverage everywhere, as you would have a tower every square mile, which is a logistics nightmare, not to mention a significant drain on the power grid, when you multiply the number of cells by 5 or more to factor in all the carriers.

Please, quit the VZW/everyone else bashing, and embrace the (not really) new technology.
This is a great thing. All marketing bull crap out of the way, no carrier has perfect or even great service on their own. All this can do is make the cell phone industry even better.
