Verizon Starts Selling the LG VX5500

The LG VX5500 phone is now for sale on the Verizon Wireless Web site for $50 after rebates with new agreement. This entry-level clamshell features 1x data, a VGA camera, Bluetooth, speakerphone, messaging services, headset jack, and Verizon Navigator.

This is a basic phone, it's not meant to be stunning or "hot."
There is a significant group of customers (retired, people who dislike a lot of technology) that just want a good basic phone. This is who the 5500 is for. If you want a flashy phon...

However, it's this very "ugly phone" that gets better signal than your Motorola überphone, which does matter a lot!
Probably will sell well
These basic phones seem to do well at Verizon.
