AT&T is offering free access to its network of Wi-Fi hot spots to owners of the iPhone and certain BlackBerry devices. AT&T has more than 17,000 hot spots at Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, and thousands of other locations. iPhone owners and BlackBerry owners need to have unlimited data plans in order to use the free Wi-Fi. Initially just the BlackBerry Bold will be supported upon its release November 4, but AT&T will add support for the BlackBerry Pearl and 8820 later this year.

ehhh
what they need to do is offer free wifi to anyone with a at&t laptop card. 😳
The $60 5Gb includes unlimited wifi at the 17000+ hotspots.
i wonder when verizon will offer somenthing free??
You dont need wifi on a verizon phone (even tho there are 5 phones that have/will offered it). Their evdo is fantastic, and the need for wifi is minimized.
WOW REALLY?!
Isn't that pretty much admitting that the data network on ATNT is not reliable?
Iphone!
