Texas Instruments to Sell Mobile Phone Chip Business

In order to cut expenses, Texas Instruments has decided to sell off part of its cellular baseband chip business. The reduction should save about $200 million in expenses and should be completed by June. No buyers have been announced, but Texas Instruments expects to know more in the coming weeks. The company will continue to focus on wireless application processors for mobile phones.
