Leap to Double Coverage In 2009

Leap Wireless is looking to increase its presence in markets across the U.S. in the coming months. The regional carrier expects to double its presence in the U.S. by the end of 2009. It currently covers about 60 million people across 29 sates, and is going to boost that to 120 million people. Leap also said that it plans to release a new music product to its Cricket customers by the end of 2008.

Makes a lot of sense....

This actually makes a lot of sense actually. Considering how involved they have been in the Alltel & Verizon buyout. My best guess is they are going for the areas that Verizon has to divest.
