BlackBerry 8350i Comes to Sprint's iDEN Network

Today Sprint announced the BlackBerry 8350i Curve for its iDEN network. The 8350i has an internal antenna and supports all of Sprint's Direct Connect services. Other features include integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 with support for A2DP. It also comes with a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.5mm headset jack, and support for microSD cards up to 16GB. Pricing and availability information have yet to be announced.

Sprint and all of it's stupid decisions...

Wouldn't it have been more wise to take this feature set and put it into an EV-DO Rev. A phone with QChat support? Aren't we trying to get people OFF of the iDEN network?
I was think the same thing. iDen is dying so why even contiune to put out new iDen phones? I guess iDen has about 4 years left till its sut down but a new RIM was the last thing I would expect them to release.

Not only what you said, but also Sprint is trying to sell it's iden network. Personally, I think the government should buy the iden network and use it for all government phones including all levels of emergency services, local, state and federal agenc...

Bad speaker design

The decision to use the covered speaker that travels to the top of the device is a horrible decision. I have a Pearl on At&t and it's only now decent with a Seidio battery cover that does not muffle the speaker. If the Nextel unit is using the same speaker as my Pearl it's going to suck for any kind of speaker phone experience. 🙄
