Sprint Nextel has decided to cancel its PCS Mail service, which provided @sprintpcs.com email addresses to customers. The service could be used to send email to computers or other phones. Sprint didn't offer any explanation about the cancellation of the service, but offered subscribers information on how to migrate to other email services. PCS Mail will remain active until December 31, 2008.

Push Email
Am I mistaken or is this Sprint's PUSH email offering? If so what will be an alternative for push email on my Sprint phone? I know it sounds like something I haven't used and that is true but I was planning on setting it up.
EMOZE is a pretty decent app. for "push" email : http://www.emoze.com/en/get/index.asp .
you are mistaken... what you are thinking of is called Sprint Mobile Email, and it is going no where...
PCS Mail was mainly accessible from your phone's browser using the messaging link.. it wasn't an application..
this is a smart move
most everyone has an email account through yahoo or aol or whatever. So it won't be needed. the pix mail accounts will remain.
Bumber ☹️ Don't other carriers have Pic-Mail (MMS) going directly to their phones?
Blackberry
Just wanted to make sure this does not include the sprint at blackberry email right? 123@sprint.blackberry.com
This will not effect BB users. only the sprintpcs.com is being eliminated.
NOW, if Sprint can just delete PicMail site....
...AND re-configure the system so that Pics go DIRECTLY to phones 😁 ...
Keep going Sprint, I still love ya.
