Alltel's My Circle Plans Gain Free Text Messages

Subscribers to Alltel's My Circle calling plans will now be able to send/receive unlimited text messages to/from those phone numbers that are part of their circle or other Alltel customers as long as they subscribe to a messaging pack costing $7.99 per month or more. They can also still subscribe to fully unlimited messaging plans for $20 per month. The new unlimited My Circle text messaging feature is available starting today.

I wonder if Alltel is intentionally doing this to sabotage Verizon. Sounds like they have the attitude of "if we can't keep our customers, you won't either."

Exactly. It's idiotic! There's "Free" in one sentence, and then "7.99 or more" in the next sentence. I would like to know how many morons it took to come up with that plan. The first time I read it, I thought it was a joke. I'm starting to look forw...

when verizon gets a hold of it they will strip it away and charge you an arm and leg.

It's all good now..

This would be very appealing to someone who only had a small group of people they activly talked to. I know you have to have regular minutes but still this is a step. A neat thing they could add would be unlimited picture and video messaging to anyone in your circle.
