Today Nokia announced the 1508 bar-style phone for CDMA networks. It has CDMA 1x data, and an FM radio for listening to music, though its headset jack is 2.5mm in size. It uses a microUSB port for charging, and runs the Series 40 user interface with BREW 2.1 and support for BREW applications. It will come in red, navy blue, and black. No carriers have announced plans to sell this device, but it is compatible with Alltel, Sprint and Verizon Wireless' networks.

Come on, Nokia!

Give us an EV-DO Rev. A N95! 😈
Damn, you stole the words right outta my mouth. I love how Nokia keeps saying they're commmited to CDMA--then they release this crap. Meanwhile, i have to look at the new GSM N-series phones that they are offering up.

Hey, what do you want for an entry level phone??? 😎

Ditto. Imagine if Apple said they were committed to CDMA and then released this and left the iphone on ATT or other GSM networks. They'd be pretty hypocritical.

The CDMA version of the Nokia 2610...NICE!!!

About time Nokia does another CDMA basic candy bar! This phone looks like the cousin of the 2610, which I LOVE!!!!

I hope Verizon gets it, it is a GREAT phone.
