Verizon Sells Airfone to JetBlue

Verizon has sold its in-flight calling system, Airfone, to JetBlue, which will use the system to provide in-flight email and messaging access.

AT&T and Google have forged an agreement to make Google's Messages app the default messaging app for all AT&T customers using Android phones. T-Mobile made a similar commitment in March, leaving Verizon as the only top-tier US carrier to not standardize on Google's Messages app for next-generation rich messaging using the RCS industry standard.
