Best Buy Invests in Carphone Warehouse

The two companies struck an agreement to form a new retail joint venture in Europe. Best Buy will invest $2.1 billion in the joint venture, which will attempt to grow both firms' presence in the European retail markets. Best Buy will, however, study The Carphone Warehouse's business practices and try to adopt them at its own mobile phone retail centers in the U.S.

best buy paid $2.1 billion to figure out what carphone warehouse stays in the wireless game ... i could have told them that for 1 % of that ...
