Today at CTIA Nokia announced two new CDMA clamshell handsets with AWS and a new version of its internet tablet with WiMax.
- 3606: This tri-band CDMA (800/1700/1900) flip phone is based on Series 40 v7.1, and is thin and has a hidden eternal display. It carries a 1.3 megapixel camera with LED flash, supports stereo Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and microSD cards up to 8GB. It will also support BREW games and other downloadable content. It is expected to be available in the third quarter.
- 1606: The 1606, also based on Series 40 v7.1, is similar in shape and design to the 3606, but loses the camera, bluetooth and microSD slot altogether. It does have a flashlight with dedicated button. It also supports BREW, and will be available in the third quarter.
- N810: This version of the N810 adds a WiMax radio, which will be compatible with Sprint's future XOHM WiMax network. Otherwise the N810 is unchanged. Pricing was not revealed, but the N810 WiMax Edition will be available by summer in markets with operational WiMax networks.
