Access, Hop-On End Patent Fight

Access Systems, formerly PalmSource, ended a three-year patent tussle by dropping its complaints against Hop-On over the use of the Graffiti trademark. Hop-On and Access agreed in two different jurisdictions that Hop-On can use and license the Graffiti name with respect to mobile and wireless products. Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
