3M Says VGA Micro-Projector Will Hit Stores This Year
Jan 4, 2008, 2:32 PM by Eric Lin
3M today announced it is making production samples of a new micro-projector available to manufacturers. The 3M projector appears to best competing prototypes by using an LED light instead of laser and a VGA resolution LCoS screen. 3M claims major manufacturers will release devices with this micro-projector built in early this year, however it is not clear if this will include mobile phones. Motorola last year showed off a prototype handset with this projection technology.
