Samsung today launched the FlipShot U900, a 3 megapixel cameraphone for Verizon. The FlipShot is almost identical to the Samsung A990 launched on Verizon over a year ago, with a twist and flip clamshell design, 3 megapixel auto-focus camera, microSD slot and TV-out. The FlipShot upgrades the previous specs to stereo Bluetooth, a full color external display and LBS in a thinner form factor. It is available online from Verizon for $200 after 2 year contract. A red model will be available in Best Buy stores on November 26 as well.

Smell that? Smells like bullshit. Dude is 100% making stuff up, it's obvious.

I haven't had a single Voyager return at all, neither have any of the other stores in my district.

But this phone is awesome, and the UI is great.

Samsung vs. others

Anyone else notice in the last few months that Samsung has the best lineup of phones for VZW? Last year LG had the lineup. Yes, I know about the Voyager and Venus, but look at the whole picture: Samsung has a great phone for any customer needs right now. 340, 410, 540 (smokes the vx8350) 620, 740, and now the i760 and the Flipshot! I just can't wait for the 940 to show up.

High End .. Really... ???

A 3 MP camera phone shld not be considered high-end (simply bcoz the same co. brings out 5 mp+ cameras in its home market)
For the US? Yes that is most definitely high end.
It is high end because of the fact that even though samsung and sony ericson etc make 5-8mp cameras, those are very rare in the us. The only one readily available is the N95 and that will run at least 800$ still after accessories and stuff.

Not bad, but...

The only problem with verizon phones is the lack of java. You will never see decent web browsing on this phone, or cool programs like google maps or gmail. And of course the verizon ui makes me want to gag. Hardware wise it is very nice though.
Why have Google maps when you can pay for stuff, like a buggy & proprietary VZ navigator? 😳

Or when you can suffer with a crippled mobile e-mail package for $5 bucks a month?

The reason that you will never see it? The universal GUI, thanks Ve...

Another great phone!

It's nice to see verizon releasing yet another feature packed phone. I've used VZ Navigator in many major cities without any problems, and the verizon UI is easy to use and looks great!
