Sprint / Clearwire's WiMax Venture Fails To Materialize

Sprint and Clearwire were unable to come to an agreement to jointly build a nationwide WiMax network. The companies announced their intention to partner in July, but coming to an agreement proved to be too complex and were further complicated by the resignation of Sprint CEO Gary Forsee. Though the companies will not build a network together, each are still building out smaller WiMax networks in limited metro areas.

Sorry Sprint? Clearwire was likely at Sprints mercy in this decision. Either way Sprint is still building out Wimax like crazy, so I don't see this as a huge loss.

I believe when I see it

Up till now all I have heard is bad news from Sprint so I will believe it when I see it, that is WiMax.

No XOHM?

Does this mean that XOHM won't be out like it was announced?
it doesn't say that at all, Sprints temporary CEO states the company still supports WiMAX. Nor does it say the deal with Clearwire is totally off, its just they haven't got a plan or hard agreement on who's and whom's gonna do what.
