Apple plans to raise prices on many of its products soon, as the price of memory chips soars due to unprecedented demand from new AI data centers. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Tim Cook said "We're doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed on to us, and we've been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable." In the phone space, Apple is not alone; Motorola and Samsung have also raised prices in the last year.
