Samsung has launched this year's Galaxy S "FE", the company's "affordable flagship" model that has a more approachable price than the premium Galaxy S models, while offering more than the company's Galaxy A models. The Galaxy S25 FE offers several key upgrades over last year's S24 FE, including a larger battery (4,900 mAh vs. 4,700 mAh), faster charging (45W vs. 25W), and a "new enhanced Armor Aluminum frame" for improved durability. The front camera has also been upgraded from 10 megapixel to 12, and naturally there are more AI features: Generative Edit not only lets users remove things from the background of photos, but automatically detects and suggests passersby to remove. Audio Eraser lets users choose specific elements to remove from the audio of their videos. Other specs of the phone are similar to last year's model, including IP68 dust and water rating, 8 GB RAM, Samsung Exynos 2400 processor, 50 megapixel main camera, 12 megapixel wide camera, 8 megapixel tele camera, and wireless charging. Samsung promises seven years of OS upgrades and security updates. The Galaxy S25 FE with 128 GB storage is available starting today for $650 from most major US carriers. T-Mobile is offering it in all four colors: white, navy, Icyblue, and Jetblack. Verizon currently has navy and Icyblue in stock. AT&T is only offering it in Jetblack. Samsung.com is also offering the phone unlocked, in all four colors, with a free storage upgrade to 256 GB for a limited time.
