Cricket has started selling the Cricket Icon Plus, its first Icon-series phone with 5G. It also has a larger display than previous Icon phones at 6.9 inches. The Icon Plus replaces the Icon 6, and most other features and specs are similar, including a 50 megapixel main camera, 64 GB of storage (expandable), 4 GB RAM, MediaTek processor, and NFC for tap payments. Cricket is charging $100 for the Icon Plus. The phone comes in "twilight purple" with a distinctive design. Like the Icon 5 and 6, the Icon Plus is manufactured for Cricket by Coosea. For the first time, Cricket is adding a model year to one of its own-brand phone names, calling this the "Icon Plus - 2026" instead of, say, the Icon 7. Motorola and Boost use a similar naming scheme.
