Qwest Wireless today launched the HTC 5800 "Fusion," a small candybar style smartphone with a numeric keypad on the front and slide-out QWERTY keyboard underneath. This is the first version of HTC's Libra / S720 to launch in the States. It features Windows Mobile 6 Standard (Smartphone), stereo Bluetooth, 2 Megapixel camera, and MicroSD slot. Although it is distinctively a smartphone, the Fusion shares DNA with HTC's slide-out Pocket PCs available on all major US carriers. A similar GSM version called the Vox has also been announced by HTC but has not been shown for any US carrier yet.

This Phone rocks

I love this phone also Qwest only provides numbers in their 14 state but you can get coverage wherever verizon and sprint have coverage so if you have a relative you can get it with their area code! 🤣 hahahaha jk no but it is a great phone much smaller than the pictures make it seem!

well.

for the 90% of us who don't have qwest, T-mobile has the HTC Wing. which, it pretty much the same thing. I really don't see a difference between the phones. look for yourself and tell me a different, besides that the Wing looks much sexier 🙂

...for the 14 states that have Qwest service 😢 😢 😢 😢
had this in Canada on TELUS for 3 months already. it's a fantastic little unit. no wifi though 8(~
I know right? What's the point in releasing it to them exclusively???
Yeah, good point! Though I do think Qwest is cool name, I'll say that.

I'm curious how much internal memory this thing has, and I do prefer a device like this rather than the other style, because I just don't like dialing a # on a qwerty keyboard!

That's one of the only good reasons to live in Arizona! 🙂
