Vodafone activist investor Efficient Capital Structures lost its bid to sell off the company's 45% stake in Verizon Wireless. In yesterday's vote, only 5% of the shareholders approved of ECS's plan. The majority of shareholders reaffirmed Vodafone's commitment to maintain its investment in the joint venture with Verizon Communications by disapproving of the resolution.

Ha-Ha!!

Poo on you. At&t, American owned and operated, the way it should be!! 😛
unless you look at the jobs in outsources in some of its call centers....

Yeah, cause for some reason because 45% of VZW is owned by a European company that proves AT&T is superior 🙄

Grow up a little, eh?

gsm company owns cdma company??????

Can anyone tell me why vodaphone bought any of verizon to begin with? just for the money and profit I guess. Because doesnt seem like it benefits them at all between here and europe. I actually have a vodaphone cell phone for when I go to Europe frequently and their network is far superior to any carrier over here gsm or cdma. So, ya lets just buy another company that has nothing to do with our technology...kinda like sprint buying nextel, still confused on that one
