The FCC today has re-approved the Samsung T639. The model was originally approved as a quad-band GSM phone, however that approval was revoked and now the phone has been re-approved with WCDMA 1700 support. Support for this band as well as the model both indicate the phone is destined for T-Mobile USA. The T639 appears to be a clamshell phone with quad-band GSM/EDGE and Bluetooth in addition to 3G. No additional details are available in the documents approved today. Neither T-Mobile nor Samsung have announced this phone yet.

T-Mobile is the BEST!

T-Mobile is better anyways! T-Mobile has the best value in their plans. Also, T-Mobile has alot of things up their sleeves with their 3G Network switching on soon. So for everyone who has T-Mobile, stay because T-Mobile is only getting better and inexpensive by the days. As of the beginning of June, they have the best value for an individual plan of $39.99 for 1000 Whenever Minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, free roaming, and no long distance charges across America so you can talk anytime on your terms. T-Mobile is best! Great customer service. And for the phones, they are working on great phones for their new 3G Network. I'm telling you, they have alot up their sleeves.

So

Well it took long enough, but doesn't affect me, no way I'd go to T-Mobile again. They are to far behind Sprint when it comes to internet and media.
Then just remain a happy Sprint customer and we all wish you well.

Is this for the US or overseas? Cuase I thought T-Mob wasn't going to get 3G... if it is a Europe exclusive, I'ma have to mave there, if just for the iphone!
T-Mobile USA.

They are getting 3G, it just took them awhile since - unlike everyone else - they had to get new spectrum from the FCC to do it. Now they have that spectrum, so they're finally getting ready to roll out 3G.
