Twitter Testing its Answer to Stories
Twitter is testing a major new feature called "Fleets". Similar to Snapchat, or Stories in Instagram and Facebook, Fleets are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Also, Fleets are only visible to followers; they can't be shared directly with the public. For now, Twitter is only making the feature available in Brazil, as a public trial of the concept.

Twitter is making it easier to share Tweets on competing social networks Instagram and Snapchat with an enhanced "share" option for each Tweet within the Twitter app. The feature will require fewer steps than taking a screenshot, and give the resulting story post a more polished look and — in the case of Snapchat — a link back to the original Tweet.

Instagram has launched a new feature called Reels, which are similar to Stories, but with a number of features copied from TikTok. When creating a Reel, users can add audio from the Instagram music library, add AR effects, and alter the speed of video.

SnapChat has launched Spotlight, a new feature that seems designed to compete more directly with TikTok. Like TikTok, Spotlight will use an algorithm to suggest new videos from outside your social network that you might enjoy.

Facebook and Ray-Ban have collaborated to create Ray-Ban Stories, "smart" glasses similar to the Spectacles 3 from Snap. Ray-Ban Stories feature dual 5-megapixel cameras that capture photos with depth as well as videos up to 30 seconds.
