AT&T Opens First Megastore

AT&T has replaced a 2000 square foot Cingular store in Houston with a new "Experience Store" more than twice its size. The new 5000 square foot space is the first of 11 new stores that will bring together all of AT&T's services, both wireless and wireline. Instead of dividing the store up by service or by handset cost as most carriers do, the store will be divided by function - video, gaming, music, messaging and other uses will each have their own separate area. In addition the store will have a customization center to add ringtones and screens to phones as well as decorate them with stickers and crystals. AT&T will open up Experience stores in San Antonio and Atlanta before expanding to other regions.

Simpsons did it!

Most sprint stores organize their phones by function: Voice phones, basic camera phones, business devices, nextel handsets, and power vision phones.

Also most stores have a touch screen interactive center that allows customers to preview and purchase ringers, screen savers, games, etc.

I've used both formats, and function works better than price.

Anyone who gets the reference to "simpsons did it!" gets a gold star.
I'm gonna guess you're referring to this:

The first part, when they try to figure out the phone bill, so they go to the store... 🙂

Gold star for me! Hurray!

If I'm not mistaken Sprint only sells wireless in their stores. The whole point of this is that AT&T is incorporating all of their services in one store, i.e.-wireless, wire-line, broadband, etc...
Cingular has been organizing their stores in a simil...

I've got a headache

5,000 square feet dedicated to helping people figure out the change from ATT to Cingular and back to ATT again.
Even that won't help 🙄
I have to say, i've been extremely dissatisfied with the "New" AT&T. They decided to cut off my wireline service a week before I had told them, despite the fact that their system had the date I gave them. Seeing as how it takes several days (even lo...
