Google Assistant Now Speaks Two Languages Interchangeably

Google has updated Google Assistant on phone and in-home speaker products with support for two languages. The idea is to allow people who live in bilingual homes to use either language with Google Assistant interchangeably. For the moment, it is limited to English plus Spanish, German, French, Italian, or Japanese. People will need to select the language pair they prefer in order to get their phone or Google Home speaker to recognize the two languages. Google says more languages will be supported over time. Google Assistant is now available across a wider range of products. For example, new speakers from Bang & Olugson, Blaupunkt, Harman Kardon, Kygo, Polaroid, and Marshall all introduced support for Google Assistant. Phones from LG, Sharp, and Vivo offer dedicated buttons for calling up Google Assistant, and headphones from JBL, LG, and Earin have all added Google Assistant to their latest products.
