Nokia will announce the next upgrade for Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition at 3GSM next week in Barcelona. Feature Pack 2 improves memory usage and performance, makes messaging and multitasking easier, and lets users play back multimedia while downloading. It also includes the new browser and other improvements announced in Feature Pack 1. Feature Pack 2 will also make it easier for developers to create applications. Though no devices have actually shipped with Feature Pack 1 yet, 20 devices, including the N95, probably will soon. There is no word an when any handsets with S60 Feature Pack 2 will be announced or available.
